The dreamlife no.6 Camping/Bell tent

I am always been crazy about tents, treehouses and other hide-aways. When I was a child we had a big garden were my friends and I build numeral tipi's, treehouses, cabins and even an underground fortress (this was great fun, until we discovered the fortress had been occupied by ants and we've been chased out by their mean bites).

Nowadays I still dream about a hide-away for me and my family, and I would really like to own a Bell Tent.  This tent is inspired by old sahara tents and you could even put a stove in it, what a dream!

The dreamlife no.5 Becoming a yogi

Since I went sick past fall I picked up my yoga/meditation practice more seriously. For a couple of months now I practice for two hours a day and it's been wonderful. I notice I am gradually getting more and more flexible in my body as well as in my mind. Some poses that were extremely challenging in the beginning, like the one in this painting are now my favourite ones.

It's one of my biggest dreams to become a real yogi some day. Don't worry I will not join an ashram and let my beard grow long. In my eyes this means being completely at ease with who you are, respecting your own limitations but be free at the same time and go through life with a minimum of needless thinking and a maximum of lightness.

The dreamlife no.4 easy living

Before we bought our house we participated in a co-housing project for a while. Unfortunately it was really hard to make it happen and we needed to move quite soon, so we left the project. But it still stays a big dream of me to once live together on a piece of land with different families and friends. For the people who aren't familiar with this concept: co-housing doesn't mean living together in the same house (although sometimes it does), for us this means sharing a piece of land together, with different houses on it and sharing some facilities like a washing room, have a cooking system together, share a big yard and watching each others children, always have someone to talk to... In my dream life this concept will become mainstream in our society one day (like it is in Sweden already, for instance).

The dreamlife no.3 Slow cooking

I really love to cook. Especially when I've got the time for it, it can be a mindful experience (at least, this is when Oskar is not begging for my attention by placing his cars everywhere on the kitchen floor, preferably under my feet 'You are a bridge, mom!'). I like to try new recipes and in my dreamlife I would make everything myself: our bread, our jams and chutneys and we would have shelves filled with jars of fermented and pickled food!

The dreamlife no. 2 Picasso's pigeons

Number two in my dream life series. It's so nice to do something just because you like it and not because it has to be useful. Over the years I've lost this capacity of just enjoying the doing. Especially after having a kid everything I did had to have a purpose and there was no time to waste, it seemed.

In this project I allow myself just to draw and paint for hours on little details and things I love. A nice book, a warm cup of tea, a purring cat and the tranquility of nature. These are a few of my favorite things.
